Best Warzone guns - the weapons you need in your loadout
The Warzone gun tier list you need to help you win
The best Warzone gun can make a big difference to chances in Verdansk. Time to kill (TTK), damage over range, fire rate - any number of stats can decide who wins an encounter. But the highest numbers isn't the whole story - if you're best at mid-range in Call of Duty Warzone there's no point choosing a point black SMG, for example. If you're all about hip fire mobility you don't want an LMG just because everyone's talking about it right now. That said there are some clear winners: while there are a slew of fantastic Warzone weapons, only some of them are at the top of the list in terms of viability. Developer Raven Software has done a fantastic job of tweaking weapon stats and there are now way more viable weapons than before. Warzone is also ever-changing, meaning the best Warzone gun from a year ago might not be viable today. There are a small handful of exceptions to this, but for the most part, Warzone weapons tend to ebb and flow in terms of usability. With that in mind, here are the 10 best Warzone guns as of season 4.
FARA 83
Barrel: 18.7″ Spetsnaz RPK Barrel
Optic: Axial Arms 3x
Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
Ammunition: Spetsnaz 60 Rnd
Barrel: 9.5” Task Force
Stock: Raider Stock
Underbarrel: SFOD Speedgrip
Ammunition: STANAG 50 Rnd Drum
The Cold War MP5 is an excellent choice up close. It doesn’t do well from afar, but up to around 17 meters or so, this thing is a beast and is hard to beat. It hits hard, has fast ADS speeds, and is consistent even when hip-firing. We highly suggest building this one for close quarters. The Warzone MP5 builds will help you pick a set up and better explain the differences between the Cold War and Modern Warfare variants.
Optic: Axial Arms 3x
Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
Ammunition: Fast Mag
Even after its recent nerf, the MG82 is a beast in Warzone. It has an incredibly high fire rate, but is still easy to control, even at long range. The main thing holding it back is its slow reload and low mobility, but you can actually deck it out to make up for both of those shortcomings and our best Warzone MG82 loadouts will show you how.
Barrel: 15” CMV Mil-Spec
Optic: Axial Arms 3x
Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip
Ammunition: STANAG 60 Rnd
The Krig 6 is a laser beam. And it has a competitive TTK, as well. It doesn’t hit the hardest, but you’ll find it to be highly consistent due to how accurate it is. And, much like the FARA 83, you can build the Krig 6 to be a long range machine, or a sniper support weapon, so take some time to experiment!
Barrel: XRK Zodiac S440
Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
Ammunition: 45 Round Mags
The CR-56 AMAX is still one of the best assault rifles in Warzone thanks to its high power and manageable recoil. It’s not the easiest weapon to use because of its lower rate of fire, but if you hit your shots, this thing shreds, even after its recent nerf.
Barrel: 13.9” Task Force
Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
Stock: Raider Stock
Ammunition: STANAG 55 Rnd
The nice thing about the LC10 is that it works well up close and at medium range. Many SMGs are basically useless past 15 meters or so, but the LC10 is reliable from afar. It also has clean iron sights, which saves an attachment slot, as well. This is one of the most competitive SMGs in all of Warzone. Our Warzone best LC10 loadouts will help you find a few other variations you can play with.
Barrel: 43.9″ Combat Recon
Stock: SAS Combat Stock
Ammunition: 5 Rnd
Rear Grip: Serpent Grip
The ZRG 20mm frankly doesn’t get enough love, but statistically, it’s the best sniper rifle in the game, at least in terms of bullet velocity. It has high damage, relatively fast ADS speeds, and is consistent. You’ll find this one harder to use at first, but once you’ve got the best attachments, it’ll click. Try out some of our best Warzone ZRG 20mm loadouts to see what you can do.
Barrel: 13.5” Task Force
Optic: Visiontech 2x
Ammunition: STANAG 60 Rnd
Rear Grip: Serpent Grip
Finally, the XM4 is an ideal choice since it’s so versatile. It can be built like an SMG, assault rifle, and sniper support, with several loadout options to choose from. This means there’s plenty of room to experiment. The Cold War assault rifles give you better mobility than the ones from Modern Warfare, so you’ll always feel nimble when using this one
